With my gps the actual lines etc are one of the last parts I look at. I find the lateral g speed revs etc much more usefull and Accurate.
I aware by data. It's proved itself so many times. The driver can be wrong and the data will show them.
There's 2 ways I use the data to find time.

First I look at me or the driver. And the more inconsistent the driver the easier it is to find time!
Then I look at setup when were driving very close to what the equipment can achieve. Untill then I just concentrate on driving unless theres obvious setup problems.

We had a classic example of a driver moaning about his engine up the hill at Whilton...looked at there data compared to mine and the motor was fine it was just under braking he was losing out loads and some of his lines were wrong. Data stopped us chasing a problem that wasn't there!
