No MaxDad, I didnt say that, I said a club wishing to deviate from the Gold Book regs must obtain written approval in the way of a KTE, and none so far have been approved. The MSA would consult with the ABkC and I would ask the steering group for their opinion. ABkC policy has normally been to have an overlap so drivers can use up the previous year's tyres, but if that policy is wrong in the views of a majority of clubs, then we can review it for the future. It also gives some protection if the new tyres are late in arriving, not the case here though.
