Here is what I do...

Firstly remove throttle cable from carb.

With kart on trolley run engine, reving from 5000 to 10000 until engine temp reaches 70c. Then adjust the low jet so the engine has a steady tickover of around 1800. Turn off engine.

Re-attach throttle cable to carb and start engine again. Bring temp back to 70c, then adjust tickover by adjusting the throttle cable so the clutch is slightly engaged, normally around 3600 revs.
