What's being said above if fine. Once you have acheived what you feel are good settings then get on the track. If you are still happy and your revs and temp are OK...MARK YOUR CARB....You will then have a safe setting to return when problems occur...and they will.

Also when I rebuild the top of the carb (every 5 hours) I always return to my safe settings as the settings for an old diaphram are different to a new one.

You will get a lot of advice on this subject as we have all just gone through hell and back. But don't forget your safe setting.
