It's an 8 round national series, usually 5 south of birmingham and 3 north, so similiar balance of geography to Super 1. In 2011, it's going to Ellough, Teesside, Clay, Whilton Mill (x2), GYG, Fulbeck and Llandow.

ACR and Club100 run technical support at the tracks for arrive and drive and owner racers. You're not allowed to rent a kart for 1 race (unless you write your own one off) but you can give them your own kart to look after at races + inbetween. Most in the paddock operate out their own tent though.

The O Plate is called the E Plate (makes you sound like a 90s raver I know) and is usually held in October after the main series has finished. This year, the Top 6 in the UK series (plus the E Plate winner) in each class went to the World Finals in Castelletto, Italy and even more will probably get the chance to go next year most likely (assuming the number of new karts sold is as good as they're making out)

Cost wise; Roughly speaking, the average budget in Senior Lights this year was probably around Ł6,000 for the whole grid.

Generally speaking, it's a very freindly and competive class. Some of the drivers are easily on par with S1 and the equal chassis and engines mean that most full-plate guys are within 6 or 7 tenths of the pace. Any more information can be found on the easykart forum (www.easykart.co.uk/forum)
