you can be bu99ered with one and you will be bu99ered with out one! Had a Mychron 3, have a mychron 4 had probs with both but they do give more info than the Alfano. If you are just starting get the cheapest all you need is lap times to see if you are improving. Plus if you have a 2stroke then it would be prudent to have a temp lead for the cylinder head.
