Not 100% sure matt to be honest. All i can confirm is that when i raced it a couple of years ago with some good grids, NOT every one had a seal!!! Was quite evident when your sat on the dummy grid casting eyes over all the old chassis's which turned out for some fun!
Anyhow a lttile food for though for you.......
My engine has now surpassed 42hrs, and my fastest laptimes this weekend were .06 slower than the fastest lap time of the day. So thats less than one tenth of a second.
I dont think or feel that my engine is any slower than who i raced with either. Im going to put that .06 down to my tyres just about covering their 3rd full meeting plus the practicing etc.
If you do need one i dont think its worth the saving of doing it yourself. I think you will save around Ł100 doing it yourself but when you come to sell up maybe you will struggle to find a good price without the seal? When i think mine is in need then i will get it resealed even though i dont do msa purely for the resale factor..It's your money after all mate!!
