They are refering to the old square shape original versions that were supplied with engines up to 1997. From 2011 the newer snail top shape must be used in Super One but I am unsure if that will pass down to MSA Club meetings.
It is said that the old square type give better power, HOWEVER whilst the new type does seem to require a slight change in jetting any advantage is minimalwhen tested against the old unit if any so I can see no reason to ban them in club racing until natural wasteage sees the old types dissapear.
