To both ITPRO and Huxley (and trying not to start a pit lane punch up if you meet up ;-))

Firstly, Thank you both for your valuable input and secondly, we were not racing Sunday, although on the saturday, we were keeping up with the guys who were practising for the Sunday racing.
Reason for the 13 front is that it was the sprocket that was on the kart when we got it and whilst I changed the rear sprocket, we ran out of time to change the front on Saturday (having never done it before !!). It might expain why my son was slow out the 'hairpin' corner just before the old pit entrance... Thinking back to one of our friends comments a while ago (who was racing minimax on sunday) - he mentioned a 12-78 gearing.
IT PRO - How would that fit with your table. When I say this is all new to me, I really do mean it is all new to me. (Like changing a nappy for the first time....) I did'nt realise a head/tail wind would make a differnce to the gearing. Guess I've still got heaps to learn.
