does it rev lots to start off with or constantly when its on teh stand? if so...its common for it to rev for a few seconds, so youll need to ride the brake enough to let the tyres spin, but to keep the revs down while its on the stand until it settles down....should only be for about 5-6 seconds or so....then it should tick over at about 4500rpm
