I was told when I bought some spark plugs for my sons W60 that the W2AS is a hotter running plug, suited to colder conditions and the W08AS - Cooler running plug, suited to warmer conditions

We were testing yesterday in the extreemly cold (and wet) conditions with a W2AS and only getting engine temp up to 116c (revs up to nearly 12) I was then told that if I had changed to a W08AS it would have got the temp up this seemed completely the oposite to what I have been told.

My question is who is correct and how important is the engine temp.
