Hi, once again apologies for the questions, but as a newbie I have a lot to learn.

I have noticed that the carb flange on my Minimax is cracked(it looks like someone has leant on it)

Would someone please advise what impactt his will have on the engines performance and if so why ?

Also i note that the nut holding the carb flange on has the engine seal wire going through it. If I need to, how can I change the flange without having to get it resealed - am I allowed to ?? or does it have to be done by a recognised sealer ?
