So there you go, the ABKC, who are suppose to look after the best interests of karting, award contracts to tyre suppliers in return for a sum of money. The ABKC gives that money to S1, which by the way is an independant commercial interest, to put into their prize fund.

I fail to see how the ABKC can possibly argue that this is in the best interests of Karting. When karting numbers are in decline, should our association not be trying to do everything in their power to reduce the costs to competitors instead of making it more expensive than it need be.

I would also like to know just how much the ABKC actually receive from the tyre importers, after all the 28K might only be a percentage of what they actually receive. Maybe Graham would be good enough to tell us where we can find that information.

As someone on here said earlier, for the club karter, tyres are probably his biggest expense. It would be good if that cost could be reduced.

How good does it feel,as a non S1 competitor, knowing that you are subsidising S1. Why cant the ABKC give a sum of money to each club to provide a prize fund for their competitors.
