I run a Gillard 010B and think its great. With a good set up and in the hands of a decent driver, the 010B is capable of winning races.

Assuming its set up properly, if your engine's fresh and has been built by a good builder, then that should be fine. The age is immaterial. If it has 50+ hours on it, the that's a different matter. I honestly can't see you finding 1.5 seconds in a new barrel. There's no way my 2008 motor served me up 1.5 seconds after the fiching and as I mentioned earlier, having been fiched, its within hundredths of my 2009 motor [new generation barrel] that I bought brand new. However, someone will come on here and swear that it does. I guess where I'm coming from is that I'd hate to have you dump so much money into a new barrel and then be disappointed that it made a tenth or so of a difference.
