In France they use the HL334 with the pulse connector pipe connected to a banjo on the thick plate(don't know the technical name).

You have two options, either buy the part from an HL334B which has the pipe as standard or drill the original one from an HL334A and glue or tap in a small fuel pipe fitting. Both carbs have the hole in the Inlet face, but this is blanked by the gasket when bolted on.

AS a matter of interest, we have found performance differences in the length and diameter of the pulse pipe.
