Try fitting a thin one on the inside (of the carrier) and a thicker one on the outside (of the sprocket). Use 55/60mm bolts but make sure they don't foul the chain guard. Use washers as spacers as required to allow for chain width.
Your chain will never come off again ......unless it breaks.
