I dont know you or your sons age and either of your karting experience, the last thing i think you want is for your son to scare himself silly in a 250 or yourself for that matter so IMO only id get a 125 first, maybe just do a season to see how it goes, if you've only done 100's then a 125 be plenty, especially standing starts, clutches, gears and trying to become smooth again, a 250 is another step up from that, speed wise anyway.

As for the mad boards i meant football
