Can anybody tell me if jetting influences max revs ? I have had problems getting past 12500rpm so recently replaced:- spark plug,air flter, fuel pump, filter and all fuel lines, new rotax battery fitted. I go to track armed with weather station asnd rotax jetting chart and adjust for sea level.
i have two majour issues:-
All advice from locals at the track including the mechanic at warden law point towards my jetting been two high, chart suggested jet size of 170 so stuck to it, but advised to go 158 this seems like a massive gap is the chart wrong ?
went to teeside recently and had a faulty battery so borrowed one. revs went straight upto 14100 so replaced battery and went to warden law, back down to 12500 RPM

help

PS i only drive for some fun on owner driver days so dont want to spend on software, but would still like a fast kart
