In terms of CIK vs TKM there isnt much difference at the moment, the TKM's seem to be handling just as well as the CIK's so it would be up to you on that, the storm is a very good kart, and great value for money. The 50mm axle apparently helps the taller drivers such as myself a bit more whilst the 30mm the smaller drivers should be just as good. the grip ping up could be due to many factors but i think as everyone gets set ups right etc the problem should become less over time. Also currently there is no performance advantage from the TAG, i think they are both equal at the moment, but the DD's may be ever so slightly better. If you do choose CIK i would recommend the storm because as you say its had some good success in JTKM and is amazing value for money.
