The MSA decided to address, within the rules, the issue of corner cutting/kerb riding. In their finite wisdom, they decided to make it legal to have 3 wheels off the circuit and on the kerbs. Fair enough, I don't agree with it, but at least it's clear and everybody knows where they stand. But to then start restricting the use of chassis protectors, particularly given the clumsy & ambiguous wording, is sheer incompetance. The only sensible solution, if neither of these rules are changed, is for the track owners to change the kerbs so that they cannot be ridden to advantage.
