Because, as we can see from various posts in the thread, certain drivers wish to drive 'outside the rules' which say that using the kerbs deliberately is an offence.
Now, the easy route is for the CoC to read the Blue book, sit himself down by, say, the kerb that must be taken at Rye and exclude all the drivers who use the kerb consistently.
Or, we sit back and listen to people bleating about 'non-compliant' clutches worth half a second a lap and how evil the drivers who do are and how they deserve to be excluded from the meeting, let alone the heat, while those same people save three-quarters of a second a lap by driving a non-compliant route.
