Yes thats what I did with the return and block one feed off the fuel pump off ,thats the best way.
Also run richer you will be killing mid range power.
When you check the exhaust do you cut the engine hot and not idle into the pits because they oil up super fast.Also keep an eye on your water temp as well. You can also run a EGT probe in the exhaust to read it while you are using it.
