hi all,

I've recently decided to get into racing max, but am completely at a loss on starting it! The engine definately can start because its been fired up in front of me, but I can't get it started now.

The battery is fully charged, reading about 13v. There is fuel of correct mix going to the carb (I've blown down the pipe to pressurise it a bit) and I lifted up the choke when I first tried to start it with a bit of throttle. I'm aware I shouldn't really start it on the stand, but if I try, the rear wheels start turning slightly due to the clutch slightly engaging but that's it - the engine just then turns over and no ignition.

When starting the max how much throttle should I be putting in? If I've flooded it what's the best way to clear it? If I take out the spark plug what colour should it be? Could tipping the kart momentarily onto its side when taking off the trailer have effected anything.

I'll be honest I'm a little stuck on getting this thing started, so any help would be much appreciated, thanks
