The gearbox only holds either 50 or 100ml of oil, so it wouldn't take long for that to leak away.

You say it's clean engine oil so it isn't coming from the exhaust flange joint.

It could be a leaking caburetor or fuel pulse pump.

However, if you are definitely sure it is coming from the vent hole below the exhaust flange, then you need to have you engine looked at.

I see your in London, whereabouts?

If you are between Rye House and Dalston in London, along the A10, I could have a look at it for you after work, on my way home.

If you are only using your kart for fun, then Gary Munroe is your best bet for engine problems.
