Yes.... more force WILL be applied to the carrier.... but of course LESS will be applied via the SEAT support!

Without the additional stays, the seat support applies all the force on the chassis rail which subsequently applies that force to the CARRIER. The only way it can be different is that the chassis MAY be able to FLEX between the seat-support and the carrier...... about 15cm of STEEL TUBE! Yes, the tube IS flexible..... but not by THAT much over SUCH a short distance!!!!

Let's give the benefit-of-the-doubt to the 'argument' that it DOES flex enough to make a difference... so you can use a SINGLE additional seat stay to prevent that flexing.....

.....So, what, in GOD'S NAME, does the SECOND and THIRD additional stay do if the FIRST stay applies ALL the force to the carrier???? Are we supposed to imagine that the FIRST seat stay COMPRESSES......? It certainly can't BEND as it's used in compression like a 'buttress'....

I could have believed in additional seat stays when ONE is used but you'll hear that 2 stays works even better....... is that like two PLACEBO tablets work better than one......? If that's the case, the the FIRST stay is a placebo too..... which is what some of us have been saying....
