Obviously, it's up to the individual karter to do what THEY want.... I feel the same applies to the rest of us... that also implies that if it's alright for some people to say 'Seat Stays Are Great' that it's ALSO ok for those of us to say 'Yeah.... likely!'
What DOES seem to 'unacceptable' for some of you is 'us lot' saying...... 'hold on guys, the REASONS you lot give for Seat Stays, different 'Axle Stiffnesses', Laser-Aligned stub axles at a VERY precise angle, standardised seat mounting-positions, wheel 'volume', magnesium rims run cooler/hotter, etc., etc., etc., (ad infinitum) really do NOT make any SENSE!
I suppose what I am asking is for those who say 'seat stays stiffen the rear end' to say HOW they stiffen it! If not.... it would be fairer to say 'stick in two seat stays because the chicken entrails I read this morning TOLD me seat stays were good......'.
In reality, SURELY, you know what I am doing.....? I am asking people to THINK about what they 'believe' in karting and to be brave enoough to say..... 'nah.... that sounds like mumbo jumbo to me'!
