A simple answer to your question..... if something in karting 'smells' like 'hype' then you can be 99% CERTAIN that it IS hype!

Use any axle which fits. If you believe that axle stiffness makes a SIGNIFICANT difference (and many of us DO NOT) then buy a couple of different but CHEAPER axles and thus have a 'spare' and a choiuce of axle stiffnesses!

The logic of charging high prices in karting is an interesting one. If you were offered an axle for Ł60 and one for Ł135, wouldn't there be a temptation to think that: "the Ł135 quid one MUST be better... or else WHY would it be MORE expensive?"! The answer to that is simple.... it's priced at Ł135 because there ARE idiots who believe that more expensive is BETTER than cheaper!
