I have my engine stripped down for cleaning BT82 115cc,taken the barrel and head off so just got crank case with piston and con-rod sticking out.

I'm trying to work out if i need a rebuild ( i don't race i just use for fun )..

If i hold the piston i can move the con-rod slightly from side to side but not up and down on the bearing is this a good sign that the main bearing is OK?.

the piston its self i have de coked the crown and ring they have no pitting but it has slight black marks on the sides of the piston and the same inside the barrel should i replace piston and ring ?

what else should i re place or check at this stage never re placed oil seals is this easy job

thanks for any help
