whilst testing you have to develop sitiational awarness and know whos behind you and catching you

if your not racing him/her and he is quicker alow him passed on a streight by signaling to him with your hand which side you want him to pass. this alows faster drivers to test / pass safely without being hindered / compromised by novice drivers

Fire in your belly is good as long as it is controlled.

Ps most people would overtake on the inside of a corner its unusual to be overtaken on the outside.
usual etiquette / understanding is the overtaking driver is the one to overtake safely
however (on an inside overtake manouver)once a karts front wheels are level with your seat then thay usualy have the corner.
