Maybe none! It will all depend on the carb setup for each. The only answer is to test both back to back. Some drivers prefer the 12.5 on faster flowing circuits and the 8.5 on twisty circuits, however again it all goes back to the carb setup as a good & nicely setup 8.5 is likely to be far better than a poor 12.5 on a fast circuit as well as a twisty one.
