All the TKM karts were using 30mm axles. The top three were getting 47.7ish as a best lap time through the weekend (although one of those was a TKM chassis). Whereas the rest of the field (mixture of cik / TKM chassis were spread out from low 48's to 49's. I think its the usual case of the driver gets the best out of a kart.... not the other way around.

As a general rule I think the cik chassis seemed to have an edge with the new tyres and that will keep coming to them as the weather warms up. However, I think in the right hands, at the moment, you could make last year's TKM chassis work as well. But thats just a guess. I never tried my old Tonykart Viper with the new tyres so I really dont know is the honest answer.

As for the scutineers, its very difficult to know what they are / aren't checking. They did notice a torsion bar on my rear bumper at scutineering though that we'd tried the day before. So they seem to be on the ball. You can't tell if they are or aren't checking though because if you are running neutral camber / castor, then they wouldnt say anything so how would you know if they checked it?! However, they were on the ball with the torsion bar, so seems like they are on the ball.
