Just wanted to correct some people on the thread above as it could be misleading to others who want to make a judgment on what chassis to use. Porter (who won) was on his Tonykart EVR which he was using in KF. Waring came second on a 2009 JKH I came in third on the Storm after qualifying 13th due to the incompetence of WMKC officials. (They wrongly gave me a drive through penalty in the first heat which I was winning by about 4 seconds and to which the COC appologised to me afterwards and told me the wrong decision was made).

We have not done any running apart from this weekend at Whilton. As for the comments about no grip first few laps. I think this was more to do with the freezing temperatures.... (it would have been far worse on the old tyres). Should be fine in the warmer months.

My opinion as it always has been, is that the CIK chassis seem to be working better although Waring seemed to make his 2009 JKH chassis work (but also seemed to be the only one who could). However, come the summer months I expect the CIK chassis to work a lot better with the extra grip.

For those that are interested the Storm seemed solid, released extremely well out of the corners and did everything I could ask. Starting 13th, getting through the field and then pulling the gap down to finish only 3.5 seconds behind leader setting quickest time in the process means that the kart really is a viable option. The brakes are great, the components seem fine and it was very easy to setup.
