All BT82 barrels have a liner. Extremeing bored out the liner from approx 50mm to 54mm. The only issue I know of was that extreming some 100cc barrels resulted in the liner locating pin hole being exposed. This could be sorted using araldite and honing. After Extreme came in, Talko ensured that the locating pin hole could not be exposed if a 100cc barrel was extremed. If your 'worried' about performance, consider this:- we had a 27** series 100cc motor that we got second hand in 2001. It was used to claim 2nd in the MBKC Junior intermediate championship in 2002. It was then used to win the MBKC 2003 snr championship. It was then extremed and retained the MBKC senior championship in 2004 and making the Elite final at the TKM fest plus a race win at PFI. Qualified 7th in TKM fest in 2005 and set fastest lap at Larkhall S1, 5th fastest at Fulbeck S1, 5th in MBKC champs (despite missing 4 rounds). The engine has the same barrel and head as first acquired. Few motors will have retained all major bits so don't get hung up on 'original'. The most significant change was to machined liners at 6500, making most motors equal and on a par with the 'best' cast liner engines (according to Talko) - it's about how they are put together.
