They are great fun and on a par with Rotax for speed but different power delivery. Recent Biland engined karts I have seen have been going for about Ł1500.Best place to start for an engine is Saxon Motorsport(01432 350157).They had a rebuilt engine with all ancilliaries(I think) at Kartmania for Ł1000.They could probably sell you a used or reconditioned unit.Buying privately they will be cheaper obviously.
