the head can be mounted so as the fins push air in across the head (cooling the exhaust area), or reversed and expel out away from the exhaust flange. the spark plug is stil in the exact postion either way the head is mounted, no performance gain what so ever, you CAN mount your head fins pointing EITHER way.
