The engine is a BT95, so i don't know the manufacturers max, but was told from Alanrr that it can hit 17500 in top nick, and it supposedly meant to be able to beat, let alone stay with the max's. And at the moment, it's under achieving very badly (as in, it gets beaten by the minimax's, and my lines are the same as them pretty much), even with Vega SL6 tyres. The carb settings are about right, as we've just been playing with them almost every tst day to get them right. So it figures that the engine needs to use all it's rev range to beat the max's - it doesn't matter if it wears it out, as it's only a 'fun' engine.

How many more teeth would i need to get the revs up to say 16,700rpm? Or what ratio?
