If you look on the nearside of the carb body you will see a stamped circle with anything from 98 - 09 and a series of dots around this number.

The numer is year manufacture and the dots represent a month....

IE; 3 dots = March....6 dots = June....and so on...

A good carb is a GOOD carb.... of the 36 I now have there are 98's, 99's (which were all 12.5's (some were 12's but are now illegal)....04's....08's and 09's among some of the best I have...
