There was proper discussion after cases of the plates becoming detatched.

Original advice was for the plates to have two mechanical fixings as per removable ballast, but the CIK ruling has overturned that as the majority of the plates are unable to take two fixings.

This IS a safety issue since we had reports and evidence of the plates becoming detatched and striking the chin bar of a drivers helmet.

Do you want to contemplate the idea of a small bladed piece of metal hitting your throat at over 40mph?

The difference between this and the Zip nose? Evidence, not perception.
