Sadly, not true. Some circuits are naturally more bumpy than others, ask the drivers. Even with a relatively smooth racing surface chassis will touch the ground if there is enough flex in them, especially if you are running it 'on the floor'. If not then you are not driving it properly (hehe).

There was an issue with the protectors that had welds, although breakages were rare and mainly confined to the front rail protector. However, the new one-piece type seems a very good product - we have used these since June without touching them, save tightening the bolts every now and then.
In my view adequate safety scrutineering would be sufficient.
Where is the evidence of how unsafe the new protectors are?
