If you are going to keep the engine inside, it doesn't matter about draining it, unless it develops a leak in which case your mum might get a bit upset with antifreeze in the carpet.

As for the piston, take out the spark plug and put some oil in and just turn it over by hand that should keep the ring free.

Blank off the carb intake and exhaust outlet and put the sparkplug back in loose.

As long as its not outside in a cold damp environment you should not have too many problems.
