Who mentioned cheating?

I don't think I did?

Let me explain:

The Rotax regulations state that you can weld or 'braise' an exhaust to effect a repair.

Now, 'braising' is a method of cooking meat, BUT brazing is a metal joining method.

They have done a Mrs Malaprop in the rules and used the word braising, just like she would have done in the book The Rivals by sheridan.

An example is thus: "I am sorry to say, Sir Anthony, that my affluence over my niece is very small."
[influence]

It called comedy in some circles.

I don't cheat and when we used a camera at the track to examine drivers' exhausts, they were all found to be within the regs although some were convinced that front runners were running non compliant exhausts.

Take up the Max and forget the so called 'cheating'.

Ask anyone on here and they will tell you that the only people cheating are the 'wons' in front.

They must be 'cheating' because they win.

Hmmmmm.

I love having our engine examined by scruts and begged them to do it at Whilton when we got the lap record.

It's not the so called cheats that should concern you but your concern should be to learn how they do it, win that is.

Regulations can sometimes be interpreted in various ways and the 'if it doesn't say you can then you can't' get out clause that the regulation writers use, can be non applicable.

Just because you don't know what some people are doing, doesn't mean they are 'cheating'.
