This is something that really irritates me...the regs are not specific on this point, but the scrutineers interprete the wording to mean that you cannot repair the bumper. As stated, a properly repaired (with internal sleeve) bumper is far stronger than the crap design & manufactured original. Why cant we repair them, when the consequences of a repaired one failing are no worse than the original failing? Comes back to dealer profits if you ask me!
