A:- Maybe! testing is the only answer. I have tested an 09 barrel that was worst. For a senior Max these differences are only very sight.

Q:"Exhausts: Not heard anything but are there such things as good and bad?"

A:- Yes - test them

Q:"Coils: I have heard of people renting coils is there really that much difference?"

A:- No

Q:"Reeds: Have heard that the new reeds are beneficial in what way is this?"

A:- Quality of construction as a result of new manufacturing tooling. But again old reed cages can perform very well with no problems at all.

Q:"Carbs: I have heard that some engines prefer 8.5 some 12.5 what is the rule of thumb?"

A:- It is often the case that 'some' drivers prefer the 8.5 and some prefer the 12.5.

TEST TEST TEST - which is exactly the same advice that I would give for all karting classes
