Well we went through all this with the junior restrictor. We were able to make the gold 128 kg and the blue 136 kg weights when we started juniors. we soon preferred the 136 kg for 2 reasons. Firstly the kart was much more stable / planted under braking and secondly we could run more fuel than lead or more lead than fuel to change handling. IE if we had understeer we could fill up the 10 liter tank and run less lead on the seat. Lap times were the same for both weights
