Thanks for all the replys at least we know we are not alone thought it might just have been our C**p standard of driving!!!! we have swapped karts seats and each other rib protectors with vary changes in pain....... we just have to endure a little pain for the smiles it gives!!!!!
Just a thought but having raced short circuit ovals using a "Kirky seat" that gives shoulder and thigh support as opposed to ribs (which are considerably weaker)is there a seat manufacturer that can cross over to karting to give similar support. admittedly these are used with 3" webbed harneses, but if we are only doing it for fun and therefore do not have MSA regs to obide by would this be a possibility ??
