If you are confident in your mechanical abilities then follow the guide to make sure that your carb is clean and set up properly

What jet are you running, try putting in a bigger jet and see if it makes a difference. Itmay be that you are too lean.

Also, when you drive the max, dont floor the throttle at low revs, you need to feed it in progressively.

Does your carb have the pipe connecting the two vents, if so, has it got a hole in the centre.

No doubt you will get more advice
