Hi All, thoughts please on the following?
Sealed senior Max being used at club level; from the start lovely and crisp but then after three or four laps (as temp starts to get up) the power fades to the point where we are losing 0.5 sec/lap, mostly bottom end power. Engine runs at around 59 degrees which we believe is acceptable? (some fellow competitors are running slightly hotter but don't have the same probs as we do! Lifting the needle helps but only slightly. I have had the head off, no carbon to speak of and we have changed the exhaust but still the same.
Two suggestions we have had is that at some point in its life, the engine has got hot and now suffers because of it (ovality???)
Another suggestion is that we are bogging due to too much grip but can't say that we have noticed that - we are running no torsion bars (2007 EVX) and old YGB's.
FYI, it's a 2003 engine with very low hours (<20), carb is cleaned, fuel pump has just been rebuilt, pulse pipe is new, the spark plug is new as is the baffle wadding...
as mentioned, your thoughts please?
