Hi Dave

It sounds as if you're W60 engine is running very close to the wire! Why don't you contact your engine builder for their professional and technical advice!!

As a precaution, I would suggest you purchase a digital micrometer and some soldering wire and check the squish value yourself whilst the engine is cold i.e at(ambient temperature) to satisfy yourself prior to racing, especially if you intend to take part in a MSA level race meetings which if picked up by the scuts would automatically result in a technical dis-qualification and exclusion from the race meeting and thus 'branded a dis-honest person'(Ch**t) by your peers no matter how small an infringement of the rules should this be proved!!!
