Rotax Max - Help/advice required please

1, What is the best sealant to stop oil etc from blowing out around where exhaust fits over maifold - not blowing much but enough to make a mess. I was thinking of using "Rocol Non setting sealant" (plumbers oil and gas sealant)
2, Why can't I get my Mycron temp' sensor to screw into top of cylinder head,. I have got M10 sensor as specified by Aim, but there doesn't appear to be any threads in the head until further down the hole and the hole is not quite large enough in dia' (please correct me if I'm going wrong)
