"The max rate of acceleration for a really good Comer W60 is about 5mph per sec - based on real data."

1g=32 fps per second

1 mph is approx 1.5 fps, 1 g accelaration is approx 21mph per sec, 0-60 in 3 seconds is about 1G.

If I remember Gearbox Karts at Dunks turn the hairpin at about 20mph and break 100 mph just before they start braking 4 seconds later, also about a 1 g acceleration.

5mph per sec acceleration is 7.5fpsps
A cadet kart accelerates (on these figures) at about 0.25 g.

(vertical acceleration in a kart gets up to about 25G, but the amplitude is very small)
